Some of the most frequently asked questions.
Do you supply invitations and other partyware?
Yes we do! We supply quality silk card invitations for a charge of 40p each. We also stock a full range of partyware in our partyshop.
How do you manage so many children and do the children get bored waiting for their turn?
We rotate the children in groups of four and only put each child on the simulator for one race at a time. Each race typically lasts between three and seven minutes.
Children not driving stand next to the kids racing or behind on the stage (there is plenty of room), where they follow all the action on the track and can cheer on their friends! This also helps them learn the controls.
What areas does South Central Racing Challenge cover?
The area covered by South Central Racing Challenge is Oxford, Wiltshire and East Gloucestershire.
Do you provide full instruction?
Yes we do! The racing simulator is completely managed by our fully trained staff at all times. They will also provide all drivers with full instruction.
Can the simulator be accommodated at most people's homes?
Access is a key issue; you must ensure that we have sufficient space to operate. The dimentions of the Super 4 are as follows; length 16 ft, width 7 ft expanding to 10.5 ft when setup. The height is 9 ft.
You must also provide us with 240v mains electricity for the Super 4 unless otherwise agreed (an additional charge will be added if you have arranged with us to use our generator).
Do you provide food?
We do not provide food, although a range of race themed cups, plates and napkins are on sale in our partyshop.
Do the children need any particular clothing?
No this is not necessary as the simulator does not pose any Health and Safety risk. It is also completely enclosed against the elements.
Can children with disabilities use the simulator?
Yes they can. Provided they can sit in the racing seat (with assistance if necessary) press the accelerator pedal and steer. We have had autistic children, children with cerebral palsy and children with learning difficulties who have all throughly enjoyed the simulator.
Are there any limitations on age?
We recommend that all racers are between 7 and 70.
